Marien Parisse

During my communication bachelor I was able to work on some interesting projects such as graphic projects, communication projects and much more. On this page you will find a bit of what I did though my 2 years of studies.

Between professional challenges, internship and graphic projects.

Kodak Warhol

This was a project that we were asked to do during our first year, the idea was to combine art and advertising to create an ad using art as a way to sell the product. For this one I was inspired by the famous Andy Warhol to use his colorful colors from his artwork Marylin Monroe portfolio. I then used empty Kodak boxes scan flat to use this idea of color. With a bit of editing I was able to create a pretty decent canvas combining both world and trying to sell film to people.

Sesh'

Another project we were asked to do was during a class where we were learning how to use Adobe software, the teacher asked us to create a flyer for the brand of our choice to promote it. I choose to work on Sesh, a French brand powered by one good friend of mine. I used a picture I did at confluence in Lyon to be the background, I then added the logo and the catch phrase to create a simple but effective flyer.

My internship

During my first year, I was lucky enough to join the great Specialized France team for 1 month as part of an internship during my BUT Information-Communication. It was a great experience during which I was able to learn a lot and take my first step into the world of cycling.

Supervised by Michael Carminati, I was able to take stock of the Instagram and Facebook accounts of the stores owned by Specialized France. This enabled me to put in place a communications plan for the coming months.

My internship was also an opportunity for me to put my photography skills to good use, taking studio photos as well as visuals for some of the brand’s products.

I really benefited from this month’s internship, and discovering a company like this reinforced my desire to enter the world of bicycles in the future.

Creative week

Last year during my first year every student participated in a week called the creative week. The concept is simple, the student with the creative option would have a video week where they needed to create an interview, and the communication option would to the same but with photography. And in the second year you switch the role. So in the first year we’ve had a photo creative week when we needed to create a series of pictures dealing with a topic in student life. I choose to work on time in student life’s.

Creative week

And for this year creative week we needed to create an interview or anyone we wanted. We chose to interview Fleur, a small artist from Besançon in folk and acoustic music. He was adorable and kindly invited us to record the interview at his home next to his piano and place where he works. We did a pretty good interview but sadly due to a sound problem our sound was not that good because the mic used was set to work with IPhones and my camera tweaked them that’s why the audio was not that good. Plus I’ve made some small mistakes while focusing that resulted in some small miss focus footage but it was acceptable.

Challenge

During my third semester we knew that we would face a new challenge during ou scholarships, it was the internal challenge in our communication department. The idea is simple, a real enterprise came and asked for our services to resolve a problem, it can be a new product luck, create traffic in stores, it can be anything. This new enterprise was the Biscuiterie Billiotte, a French brand of local biscuit made in Besançon.They needed us to create traffic in their 4 stores and also on their online store.
So we did! And together with my done we presented our idea of golden biscuit inspired by the famous movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
So we came up with the idea to create limited edition boxes with special biscuit flavours inside.
The idea of our campaign was to use the icons of the region to serve the biscuits brand.
That’s what we did with the watch for Besançon, a typical landscape in Arbois or with our box with the lion, icon of the region.

I introduce you into our campaign named: Billiotte in the heart of traditions.

Fred Again Cover

This year in our Graphic class I’ve been asked to create an album cover for an artist using photoshop. So I did and created and album cover for one of my fav artist, Fred Again. I’ve used a real photo from his album but mixed it with a hand drawing. Such as his named that I draw with my hand and all the little details. It resulted in a very fun project with some cool design!

Movie Poster

The last thing I was asked to do in my graphic class was to create a movie poster and includes a lighthouse and a floating island. I did it using an image from Star Wars and using the logo, I added two actors names that I created and it was done. Happy to have worked on this small project, it was fast and fun but I was able to play a bit more with photoshop.
